Kyle's obituary
Kyle D. Heins, age 35 of Parma, passed away on July 30, 2023, leaving an unimaginable void in the hearts of his loved ones and the community he served.
Kyle was a dedicated father, husband, son, brother and public servant. He is survived by his wife, Jessica; three children, MaKenna, Tucker and Emma; parents, Dave and Cathy; sister, Nicky (Mike); and twin brother Andy (Lisa).
Kyle loved to camp, fish, ride the dunes at Silver Lake, and spend time outdoors with his family and close friends. Kyle could often be found in his garage, tinkering with his two and four-wheeled “toys” and could hardly tear himself away from anything with a motor. He loved the life he built with Jessica and cherished quiet (and not so quiet) days spent at home with his family.
Kyle lived a full and beautiful life, dedicated to service. He spent time in the Navy and the Emergency Department at Henry Ford Jackson, impacting countless lives, but his true calling was being a firefighter. First, at the Summit Township Fire Department and, ultimately, as a Lieutenant at the Parma-Sandstone Fire Department, Kyle demonstrated leadership, bravery and sacrifice. In people’s worst moments, Kyle was there to provide help and hope. He left an indelible impact on everyone he encountered. Even in death, his commitment to service lives. Kyle was a registered organ donor and was able to donate tissue through Gift of Life Michigan, so a part of Kyle will live on, even beyond our hearts.
Kyle will be deeply missed by his family, friends, firehouse “brothers” and community, but we must take comfort in knowing how many lives were forever changed by the man we loved so much.
