Kyla's obituary

Kyla Drew Gabbard, 25, of Richmond Indiana went home and got her wings on June 26, 2021. She was born on December 25, 1995, at Reid Hospital in Richmond to Mark D Gabbard Sr. and Tonna D Gabbard.

Kyla is survived by her parents Mark and Tonna Gabbard of Richmond, Indiana. Her Brother
Mark Gabbard Jr. of Richmond, Her sister Taylor Clark (Chase Clark) of Carmel, Indiana. Her
Children, Carson Yates & Addison Yates of Richmond, and her life partner, Cameron Yates of
Richmond. Her Grandparents, Sharlene Werner of Vandalia Ohio, Great Grandma, Juanita
Werner of Richmond, Her Great Uncle Rod Werner of Richmond, Her Grandfather Donnie Gabbard (Lynn Gabbard) of Milton Florida, Her Great Grandma, Edith Gabbard of Jay Florida. She also leaves a host of extended family and her only Niece, Aliyah Clark of Carmel Indiana (Her Little Stinker Butt)

Kyla loved her children more than anything, Carson & Addison were her priority, playing with them and seeing them smile made her entire day. She loved music and dancing; sometimes to Country but R&B was her favorite. She attended PJ’s School of Cosmetology in 2019 and was very enthusiastic about it. Kyla was an easy-going person with a caring heart and a free spirit, always smiling and laughing. She was motherly, not just to her own children but any she knew.

She loved spending time with her mom, dad, and brother, Mark Gabbard Jr. (Kaitlynn Gregner) of Richmond. Her Mom was her best friend, who she talked to everyday. Kyla also looked up to her big sister and they shared a lot with one another, Taylor Clark (Chase Clark) of Carmel, Indiana. She spent most of her days with her children and life partner, Cameron Yates of Richmond.

Kyla was still close to her childhood friends, Savannah Moore, Erica Bailey, Sierra King, and Octavia Youngblood. They always held a special place in her heart, and they kept in touch with each other up to the day she passed away. She spent a lot of time with her aunt, Cheri Aouad of Richmond, Jessica Gabbard of New Paris Ohio, and Karen “Renee” Clayman of Richmond and enjoyed hanging out with her cousins, Ryanne Spicer (Kieta Bryson) of Indianapolis and Ryan Kelly of Richmond (Who she called Bubby)

Kyla is preceded in death by her grandmother, Modena Sue Abrams, Her Grandfather, Phillip
Weatherly, Her Great Grandma Lucille Weatherly, Her Great Grandma Ola Miller, Her Great Grandfather Harry Werner, Her Great Grandfather Pearl Gabbard, Her Great Uncle Tim Gabbard, Her Aunt Sandy Werner and Vicki Holland (Werner), Her Uncle Michael Gabbard, Her Uncle Phillip Todd Weatherly, her second cousin Kristy King, and her first cousin Brandy Kelly, who she adored spending time with, and her Angel Baby.
