Mr. Kwok Kee Koo passed away on February 3, 2024, in Palo Alto, California, USA. He was 94 years old.

Kwok Kee was born on December 3, 1929, in Meizhou, Guangdong Province, China. He studied mathematics and civil engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (上海交通大学), Guangzhou Lingnan University (廣州岭南大学) and Beijing University. After graduating from Beijing University in 1952, he joined the faculty of Civil Engineering Department at Tsinghua University (清华大学) in Beijing. In 1979, he moved to Hong Kong and continued his academic career as a faculty member of Hong Kong Baptist College, and Hong Kong Polytechnic. In 1987, he received his doctoral degree from Hong Kong University. After a long and distinguished career, Kwok Kee finally retired in 1990 and settled down to live in California.

Kwok Kee was a loving husband, devoted father, and indulgent grandfather. His wisdom and kindness will be missed by all who know him.

Kwok Kee is predeceased by his wife, Deh Fang. He is survived by his three daughters, Sabrina, Vera and May; by his five grandchildren, Fiona, Winnie, Iris, Emily and Brenton.

A funeral service is scheduled for 9am on February 15, 2024, at the Tiffany Chapel of Cypress Lawn Funeral Home, 1370 El Camino Real, Colma, CA 94014.
