Kurt's obituary
Kurt Meinders, born May 31, 1965, departed from this world on July 30, 2025. A reserved, humble, and friendly soul, Kurt always steadfastly adhered to the principle: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." His kindness knew no bounds, often going to the extent of sacrificing his own comfort for others.
He leaves behind a loving family - his wife Angela Meinders, daughter Sharon, and son Jeremy Meinders. He is also survived by his sister, Kati Steiner, his brother Gary Meinders, his sister-in-law Theresa Hoffman, his sister-in-law Laura Meinders, his brother-in-law Brent Steiner, and his son-in-law Justin Cunningham. His legacy will live on in his grandsons - Jacob and Derek Cunningham.
Kurt was predeceased by his beloved parents, Sharon and Bruce Meinders, and his mother-in-law, Marilyn Brashier.
A natural outdoorsman, Kurt enjoyed activities like fishing, hunting, boating, hiking, and camping. The woods were his favorite vacation spot, blending his love for hiking and the color blue. Outside, he found joy and peace. He had a soft spot for sausage and Busch Lite, classics that he never grew tired of. BJ Thomas's melodies often filled the Meinders' home, and shows like The Andy Griffith Show and MASH were his television favorites.
Counting 30 plus years of service at Phillip's Frame and Truss, Kurt was a dedicated worker known for his persistence and resilience. His legacy is not only one of love and friendship but also of steadfast commitment to his work.
