Kurt's obituary

Kurt George Butler, 51, died in his home the afternoon of February 17th, 2024. He passed peacefully in his sleep after his long battle of stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

He was born in Montgomery, Alabama in the year 1972 to his parents Dianette and Keven Butler. Kurt graduated from Tallassee High School and went on to study at Auburn University of Montgomery where he earned his bachelors in nursing. Before his passing he was a RN at Cherry Hospital.

Kurt was preceded in death by his parents Dianette and Keven Butler, and is survived by his wife Michelle Butler, his daughter Courtney Butler, and his sons Christian Butler and his wife Dela, and George Butler. He is also survived by his two sisters Kipp Griggs and Kasie Cameron and his brother Ryan Aldridge

Kurt was a loving husband, father, nurse, and musician. He loved music and would try and learn every instrument he could. He also loved Family Feud and when his illness took hold he watched every single episode out there. He was a big fan of Star Wars and when the newer ones were released he loved having a ditch day with his children to go see them. Kurt was also known for his candy and his love of sharing them with his coworkers. At every new nursing job he would show up with bags of candies ready to share.

Kurt George Butler will be deeply missed for he was very loved. At this time the family do not plan to hold a service and thank everyone for their love and support.
