Krzysztof's obituary

Krzysztof (Kenek) Derylo, age 44, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 26, 2024 in Norwalk, CT.  He was born on July 4, 1979 in Poland. He is survived by his son Krystian, stepdaughter Arianna, both of Norwalk CT, parents Stanislawa and Franciszek Derylo, brother Pawel Derylo, sister Renata Paluszkiewicz and sister Dorota Mostowy all of Poland.

He left his family in Poland at a very young age and found a new home in Norwalk, CT.

He studied nutrition in Poland but worked as a carpenter in the Fairfield county area for the past 20 years.

In the short 44 years that he lived, he held numerous roles and meant many things to countless people. He was a son, a brother, a dad, and a dearest friend.

In his 20's and 30's he spent most of his free time parachuting and skydiving all day and partying all night. He was the life of every  party, always pulling a good joke out of his sleeve. His laugh would fill any room he walked into. He was kindhearted, always looking out for others, lending a listening ear, or his arms for a hug.

He was a proud member of a polish motorcycle group “Polska Sfora”. He took endless trips with them throughout the United States.

He devoted a few years of his life building a beautiful home for his family in Norwalk. He was an amazing craftsman, always full of unique ideas.

He was loved by many. He cherished his time with son Krystian, stepdaughter Arianna and dog Bero.  He was a proud father who loved spending time with his son go-carting, walking, camping, taking weekend trips, kayaking, hiking, and watching his son play soccer.

He was full of life and different ideas, always trying to make his life extraordinary. He will be missed by so many friends whom he called his second family.

His biggest dream was to climb Mt. Everest. May his soul climb it now that he is in heaven.

Friends and relatives may pay their respects at a memorial mass service being held on Saturday February 3rd at 2:00 p.m. at St. Michael’s Church in Bridgeport.

In lieu of flowers, during a mass, we are asking for small donations for Krzysztof’s parents to help cover the transport and funeral expenses in Poland.
