Kristy Lynn Mason, born on January 25, 1976, in Bristol, Tennessee, passed away on January 1, 2026, in Ladson, South Carolina. She was 49 years old.

Kristy grew up in Virginia and graduated from Amherst County High School in Amherst. Following her education, she proudly served her country in the United States Navy, a testament to her strength and dedication.

Throughout her life, Kristy found joy in many passions. She had a deep love for Disney World and cherished the magic it brought into her life. Her creativity shone through her love of drawing and coloring, while reading offered her both comfort and adventure. She also enjoyed video games, which provided another outlet for fun and connection.

Kristy’s greatest pride was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her mother, Linda Mason; her daughters, Madison Stepp and Elizabeth Mason; and her bonus children, Alicia Stepp and Aaron Stepp. Her family circle extended to include her sons-in-law, Dawson Rest and Johnathan Cain. She also held her brother, Eric Mason, and sister, Jennifer Bowling, close to her heart. Kristy was also blessed with grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life. Her best friend, Robert Stepp, held a special place in her heart and remained a constant source of support.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Mason II, and both paternal grandparents.

Kristy's warmth, creativity, and devotion to those she loved will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who mourn her passing. A Celebration of Life will be held on February 7, 2026, from 01:00 PM to 03:00 PM at 144 Education BLVD. Instead of flowers, we ask that everyone donate to American Diabetes Association in her memory.
