Kristine's obituary

In Loving Memory of Kristine Margaret (Knotek) Plissken

Kristine (Knotek) Plissken, 58, of Waconia, MN, passed away peacefully in her home on June 26, 2024.

On December 13, 1965, Kristine Margaret’s beautiful soul entered this world to Bob Knotek and Jan (Odegaard) Knotek. Kristine spent her childhood in Minneapolis alongside younger brother Mikal Knotek (Kelle). She graduated Washburn High School, class of 1984. Kristine later met her brother Britt Bjugan (Julie).

Kristine dedicated her life to raising her family as a devoted stay-at-home mom. From dance and cheer competitions, to weekend soccer tournaments, to family outings at Valleyfair and the apple orchard, Kristine prioritized her family and focused on providing the best life for her children.

Known for her generous heart and compassionate spirit, Kristine found purpose in helping people and sought every opportunity to encourage and show kindness to others. She was an incredible human with an extraordinary gift of making people feel safe, seen, valued, and loved. Kristine valued her companionship with her best friend Joel and enjoyed spending time driving around the lakes with the windows down. Kristine also found great joy when asked to share her creative talents to craft paper decorations for special celebrations.

Kristine’s legacy lives on in the hearts of her children Ashley Kruse (Jeff), Karissa, Brianna Kullmann (Ethan), and Jaxon Plissken. Her legacy lives on in the youthful spirits of her grandchildren Weston and Callahan Kruse, Ronin and Riven Kullmann, and E. Known as ‘Grammie’, her grandchildren were her greatest pride and joy, and her love for them knew no bounds.

Kristine faced her condition with remarkable strength and courage. Though she may no longer walk beside us, Kristine will join the stars in the sky and her light will continue to shine bright.

A celebration of Kristine’s life will be held at a later date.
