It’s your special day… it’s your 60th Birthday!🎈🎂 Dad and I think and talk about you everyday.  We love you, miss you and hold you close to our hearts.

We look up to the sky and know the brightest star is you, sending your love to us too.

Our everlasting love, Mom and Dad 💖🎶

I moved to the neighborhood on the corner before 4th grade.  You lived the fourth house down the street.  You caught my attention because you purposely would kick a soccer ball into our yard over and over again.  From that moment on you and I were BEST FRIENDS.

We played so many sports together, Kick the Can, Annie Annie Over, playing with salamanders in our window wells, touring the sewer pipes at Grass Lake, sleepovers constantly, your many visits to Duluth during my college years, dancing, singing and the list can go on and on.

We may have not seen each other much over the years but we always had a very special connection every time we met physically or by phone and/or text msgs.

I LOVE YOU and MISS YOU, my FRIEND.

Today was a beautiful day – filled with tears – laughter – hugs and lamas.

96 degrees and what felt like110 in the sun.  Slight breeze and a blue sky. She'd have it no other way.  It wasn’t the weather, the time of year that made it special, rather, the gift of so many friends and family coming together and sharing their love and the best that Kristine brought to everyone.

My most impactful memories of her stem back to our early youth. Getting candy from the store, collecting paper route dues, Kristine taking me to Lake Harriet and parks. Never a dull moment or an adventure too big for us not to tackle. That motto was unsaid… but executed every day we left the house together.

She was a ham. That never changed throughout her whole life. She was fun. She liked laughter and loved making others smile. She gave at any opportunity. She loved everyone. Nothing could or would be too serious for her – she never wanted anyone to worry about her. That attitude made her easy to get to know and easy to be around.

She was a cat with 9 lives…. That used 13 of them. She was fearless, or at least never let anyone know something might scare her.

She was a good mom – to say it any other way, is cliché. She was their rock – she was passionate about their happiness. She was a momma bear when she needed to be and she let them stand on their own two feet, even when it was difficult.

She loved her grand babies. She spent every moment and every dollar to make their lives a better place. To bring them joy, real joy… nothing artificial or superficial… it was who she was to the core with them.

Although life brought us our own twists and turns over the years. When we crossed paths, she was always loving. She had such a big heart. I’m so proud of who she was. How she figured out life, how hard she worked on relationships and the people she cared about most.

I’m grateful for the time we had together as children and adults. I’m grateful for the lessons she taught me. I’m proud to be her brother.

Kristine, the fond memories that linger in my heart will forever bring me joy and tears. I will hold onto them tightly. I do love you very much. – Mikal

It was at the end of the school year and I began school at Kenny in South Mpls she from the day I started in Kenny she came to me like she had known me for ever! She was a beautiful friend!
It was summer of 1976-77? and Kris just moved in across the alley from my house. Kris was the sweetest friend and my very first girlfriend too. I remember all the silly notes we would write to each other and play flash light games at night out our bedroom windows and yes the many games of kick the can with Linda N and her brothers Steve David and Kris's brother Mike. Those were great days and memories! Kris's family; (Brother) Mike (Mom) Jan and (Dad) Bob were so sweet neighbors and friends! Oh and her Grandpa was so sweet too! Kris you were a gift to many!

One month ago today we lost our only daughter, Kristine Margaret.

Kris was an energetic child, an enthusiastic adult, and an incredibly loving mother and grandmother who drew her joy in life from giving to and doing for her family.

No words can express our deep sense of loss at her passing. But it was to our great relief that she was surrounded by her family and closest friends during the days before her death. Through them she found both peace and purpose.

Thank you to our extended family, our dearest friends, and all those who comforted our grief in this difficult time.

Bob and Jan
