It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kristina Wacenske on Oct 11, 2025. Born on Sep 10, 1953, she dedicated her life to animals of all kinds, her family and those who were privileged to call her a friend.

Kristina is survived by her wonderful daughter, Sara Edwards, who brought so much pride and joy into her life. Her son-in-law, Craig Edwards, also held a special place in her heart and was always there to lend a hand. Kristina's legacy will continue to shine brightly through her grandchildren. Aaden and Paige Duman, whose vivacity and energy always brought a smile to her face. They were what she fought for.  

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Lee Wacenske, whose love she much cherished, her daughter, Jennifer Andrade, whose memory she held close to her heart, and her mother, Patricia Mahoney.

Known for her chatty and loving nature, Kristina had a way of making everyone feel comfortable and welcome. Her interest in researching ancestry displayed her love for family, history, and the narratives that shaped the lives of her ancestors.

She found great joy in raising African Violets. These flowers, under her tender care, bloomed beautifully. More than anything else, she cherished spending time with her grandkids, who brought so much joy to her life.

Kris fought her illness with so much strength & courage. May her memory forever live in our hearts. Kris will forever be loved and never forgotten.
