Kristina Marie Hopper 1987-2026

Kristina Marie Hopper, 38, of Cedar Key, FL, a beloved mother to four children, was taken far too soon in a car accident on February 9th, 2026.

Kristina was born in St. Cloud, MN, on March 9th,1987, to Allen & Eileen (Emslander) Roering, and kept them on their toes every day since.

Kristina had a vibrant spirit. She made an impact on each person she interacted with. She was courageous, inspirational, giving, loving, funny, full of joy, a ball of fire that showed us what can be accomplished with determination and persistence.

Kristina was a devoted mother to Isaiah, Savannah, Elijah, & Natalie, her pride and joys and the loves of her life. She married Benjamin Hopper in 2008, and although they later divorced, they remained great friends and coparented their children. They continued sharing the responsibilities of life, leaning on each other in times of need, traveling together, and celebrating birthdays and holidays together.

Kristina had an amazing laugh, a huge heart, & held tight to what she believed in. She loved music & loved to sing. She loved animals & would have brought home every animal in the world if she could.

Kristina is survived by her children, Isaiah, Savannah, Elijah, & Natalie Hopper; her mother, Eileen Roering of Becker; her former husband, Benjamin Hopper of Big Lake; her former parents in-law, LeRoy and Sandie Hopper of Canby; former sister in-law, Rebekka (Jim) Shrimplin; former brother in-law, Aaron Hopper; her siblings, Dawn (Rhonda) Emslander of Becker, Rebecca (Nhat) Tran of Shakopee, Angela (Alfred) Dubay of Backus, Kimberly (Noy) Saya of Maple Grove, Allen Jr (Luann) Roering of St. Cloud, & Bradley (Vicki) Roering of Rice. Kristina also leaves behind many heartbroken aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, & friends.

Kristina was preceded in death by her father, Allen Roering; her grandparents, Ralph & Rosemary Roering, Roman & Claudia Emslander, as well as many other loved ones.

We will never forget the love she brought to our lives.

Two events will honor Kristina’s Life.

A Memorial Service in Canby, MN & also a Celebration of Life in Monticello, MN. All are welcome to join us & any of you are welcome to speak in her honor.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 6th, at 3 PM at the Full Gospel Assembly Church

514 Haarfager Ave N, Canby, MN 56220.

A Celebration of Life will be held:

March 14th, 2026, 11 AM - 5 PM at the Monticello VFW 713 Cedar St., Monticello, MN 55362. Lunch will be served at 12 PM.
