Kris's obituary

With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Kristina "Kris" Hagglund, who left us on March 29, 2025. Born on October 15, 1963, Kris made her mark on this world through her independent spirit, her wit, and her capacity to love and care for those who mattered the most to her.

Kris leaves behind a loving family that includes her husband, Darrel Hagglund, her daughters, Jamie and Jennifer Clelland, and her sons, James Clelland and Matthew Hagglund. She will be deeply missed by her sister, Renee Stelzner, her mother, Sharlene Fransten, and her cherished grandkids, Justin, Blake, Jayden, Micheal, and Bentley

Untraditional, bratty, and yet endearing in her own unique way, Kris carved out a life that was thoroughly independent and filled with love and laughter. Her legacy echoes in the lives of those she touched, particularly her grandchildren. Kris was the everyday grandma, hardworking and ever-present, filling their lives with joy, wisdom, and an abundant love.

Her tastes were as unique as her personality. A lover of hearty meals, Kris enjoyed her own homemade soup and sandwiches, She was an avid reader, with a preference for murder mysteries. Her musical interests ranged from the harmonic tunes of Wilson Phillips to the country melodies of The Judd's and Garth Brooks. Kris was also a fan of the TV show Friends, and Dirty Dancing was her favorite movie.

A supporter of the Seahawks, Kris also enjoyed playing Farkle online and 10,000 and poker with her friends over the weekend. Her favorite TV shows to watch were  American Idol and Survivor .while her favored recreational activities involved spending quality time with her grandkids and delving into the pages of a good book. As far as exercise, not since her kids were little and Richard Simmons came out with his infamous "Sweating to the Oldies" , relishing instead in her love of reading and Naps. She loved her Naps. Green was her favorite color, and Hawaii was her favorite vacation spot.

The lesson she imparted on those around her was to take the Time to consider our feelings and choices: "If you still feel the same way tomorrow, then it's worth the fight. Meaning- sleep on it."

As we remember Kris, we keep her memory alive in our hearts and honor her legacy by cherishing the things she loved and the wisdom she shared. We'll miss her deeply, but take comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in the lives of her loved ones.
