Kristian's obituary

Kristian Lorenzo Sanders, age 29, passed away on December 2, 2025, in Seattle, Washington. He was born on March 25, 1996, in Prosser, Washington, to Loren Sanders and Ernestina Madrigal.

Kristian was deeply loved by his family and will be remembered for his gentle spirit, warmth, and the quiet way he made people feel seen and included. He had a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh that brought comfort and joy to those around him.

From an early age, Kristian was surrounded by family and connection. He cherished time spent with his Grandma Clara and Grandpa Ben, especially on the farm, where he felt at peace and deeply loved. One of his happiest family memories was a trip to Disneyland, where he spent time with Grandma Clara, Auntie Cindy, Auntie Valarie, his sister, and his cousins, sharing days filled with laughter, excitement, and togetherness that the family will always treasure. He shared close bonds with his parents and siblings and was happiest simply being near the people he loved.

Kristian attended Davis High School in Yakima, where he was a proud student-athlete. He played varsity baseball and varsity football, sports that reflected both his athletic ability and his love of teamwork. Baseball, in particular, was a passion he shared closely with his dad and his friends. His childhood and teenage years were filled with laughter, full houses, and weekends surrounded by cousins and friends, making his home a place of fun, belonging, and love.

Kristian went on to graduate from college, an accomplishment he worked hard to achieve and one his family was intensely proud of.

Music was one of Kristian's greatest passions. He was a DJ, and through music, he found comfort, expression, and purpose. Sharing his music with others allowed him to bring people together, create connections, and offer joy in the same genuine way he lived his life.

Kristian held especially close relationships within his extended family and was deeply loved by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his parents, Loren Sanders and Ernestina Madrigal; his sister Marissa; his brothers Myles and Ben; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members who loved him deeply.

Though his life was far too short, Kristian's impact was lasting. He will be remembered for the light he shared, the joy he brought, and the love he gave freely. He will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A funeral will be held on December 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Tahoma Cemetery, followed by a repass at the Sanders home at 1 p.m.
