Kristi's obituary
Kristi Lynn Timmer
May 14, 1957 – January 30, 2025
Kristi Timmer (Slenk) passed away peacefully on January 30, 2025, at a hospice facility in Beaumont, Texas, with her daughter holding her hand. She faced her battle with cancer surrounded by the love and care of her devoted family, demonstrating remarkable strength, resilience, determination, and positivity throughout.
Kristi is survived by her two children, Dan Ketchum and Megan Gradozzi (Dominic); her cherished grandchildren, Isaac Ketchum and Rosie and Riley Gradozzi; her siblings, Al Slenk (Alyson) and Mari Boss; as well as her nieces, nephews, and countless lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Trudi Slenk.
A devoted mother and adoring “Nana,” Kristi found immense joy in creating treasured memories with her children and grandchildren. Her legacy of love and laughter will live on in their hearts forever.
Kristi worked for 14 years at the Holland Community Aquatic Center, where she was a friendly and familiar face to many. Her home on Upper Silver Lake was a haven for family, friends, and even strangers who were welcomed with open arms to share good times at her beloved tiki bar. Her heart of gold and carefree spirit made everyone feel welcome and at ease.
An avid rock hunter and beachcomber, Kristi found joy in discovering Petoskey stones, fossils, and beach glass—treasures that will forever remind her loved ones of her vibrant spirit. She will be remembered for her fierce strength, unwavering optimism, and signature phrase: “It’s all good.”
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 7th, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Holland Aquatic Center in Holland, Michigan.
May Kristi’s memory bring comfort to all who knew. Her family finds peace in knowing that God knew exactly what Kristi needed during her last days. They will rejoice in knowing that she is no longer suffering and is living her best life in Heaven, having a glass of wine with her mom and dad.
