Kristi was born on July 12, 1973 to Bonnie and Jack Tines. She was born in Rapid City, South Dakota, the youngest of five siblings. She is prcededed in death by her Mom, Dad, paternal and maternal grandparents and granddaughter. She is survived by her siblings: Tina Kok, Dede Stahl (Myron), Jim Tines (Louisa), Tom Tines (Patsy), 22 Nieces and Nephews and several grand nieces and nephews, her husband Stan, two children: Bailey (Scotty) and Tausan and two grandchildren: Breck and Cooper. Kristi loved family above all else. Her immediate family, her siblings, nieces and nephews. She was loved by them all and will be greatly missed.
She went to grade school in Wasta, SD and High school in Wall, SD. While she loved her friends and family in TX, South Dakota still held a very special place in her heart, she still holds many strong friendships from her time there.
She married Stan Cihak on August 19, 1995. They have been partners not only in life, but business, raised two amazing children and got to enjoy being grandparents together. They moved to Cleburne, TX in 1997, where they bought a farm and raised their family. This allowed Kristi to raise many pets, including cows, horses and dogs. She had a love for animals.
She was a woman who could do anything. When Stan met her she was working two jobs, working at an Airline as well as an equipment operator. She kept the books for all of their businesses and ran the family like a well oiled machine.
Her two children, Bailey and Tausan, were her world. She spent hours at dance practices, dance competitions, baseball, football and basketball games. Ohh the many many hours at baseball games.
Bailey married Scotty Diduch, who became a bonus son. Scotty and Bailey gave her two beautiful grandsons and a grandaughter who Kristi will get to love on and hold when she gets to Heaven. Breck and Cooper loved their Lolli.
Kristi and Stan made friends with many of the parents of their children, who have become dear to them. She also has a strong friend group who called themselves “The Six Pack”. Kristi believed that family is not only blood but those who you choose. We were lucky to call her family.
When Kristi was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2018, she never let that stop her. She still attended all of the sporting events, spent time with her grandchildren and went home to South Dakota to visit family as often as was possible. She was the strongest woman I have ever known and she fought valiantly until the end.
Surrounded with love, her family, her children, her grandchildren and many friends. She passed peacefully on April 1, 2025.
