Kristen's obituary
February 20, 1977 – April 16, 2024
With heavy hearts and loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Kristen Ann Trejo, a cherished wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, who passed away on April 16, 2024, in Orange, California.
Kristen was born in Portland, Oregon, on February 20, 1977. From the moment she arrived, she brought joy and light into the world with her infectious smile and invincible spirit. It was no surprise that her high school friends dubbed her "Smiley," a nickname that perfectly captured her enduring optimism and warmth.
Kristen was a soul who believed firmly in living life on her own terms. After high school, she embraced a path filled with joy and authenticity, focusing on experiences over material gains. She worked to live, not lived to work, filling her days with passion and purpose.
Her greatest joy was her family. Alongside her loving husband, Raymond James Trejo, she found her true calling in raising their three children: Triston James, Matheson David, and stepdaughter Jayden Rae. Kristen infused every day with love and laughter, teaching her children to see the good in every situation and in every person.
Kristen lived without judgment, always looking for the silver lining and never dwelling on the negative. Her life was a lesson in kindness, resilience, and unconditional love—a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
She leaves behind her husband, Raymond; her sons, Triston and Matheson; her stepdaughter, Jayden; her parents, Debbie and David Mixon; her sister, Shelley Soliz; and brother-n-law Javier Soliz, along with countless other family members and friends whose lives she touched deeply.
A celebration of Kristen’s life will be held on Friday May 3rd at 4pm, at 32390 Galleano Ave., Winchester, CA 92596. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations and those will go towards Rady Children’s Hospital- San Diego and Breast Cancer Research, two causes close to Kristen's heart.
Kristen's radiant smile and generous spirit will be profoundly missed, but her influence will forever remain in the lives of those she loved. She taught us to cherish each day, to embrace life’s challenges with a smile, and to always find joy in the journey.
