Kris's obituary
We sorrowfully announce the passing of Kristen "Kris" Madison, a beloved brother, son, and friend, who departed this world on December 19, 2023. Kris was born on December 6, 1975, and throughout his 48 years of life, exemplified the virtues of hard work, determination, and independence coupled with a uniquely exuberant spirit.
Kris graduated in 1993, and soon after embarked on a lifelong journey of growth and discovery that took him from Hoquiam, WA, to Riverside, CA in 1994, then to Laguna Beach, CA in 1998, and finally, to Vancouver, WA in 2017. In each place, he set down roots, made lasting connections, and left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to cross paths with him.
In 1998, Kris began a successful career in Community Association Management, a testament to his smart, hardworking character. He approached every task with a mix of seriousness and playfulness, which made him a joy to be around and work with.
Outside of his professional life, Kris had a profound love for music, with favorites ranging from Cher and Barbra Streisand to Michael Bublé, Madonna and so many more. He would often be found belting out a tune or two, his infectious silliness making every moment a fond memory. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his friends, making them laugh with his good-natured humor and friendly charm.
To Kris, the world was a banquet, and he relished in its offerings. He loved to indulge in delicious food as well as prepare it for others and his spicy tuna salad was always a crowd favorite. His drinks of choice were vodka cranberries, margaritas and good wine. Among his favorite pastimes were relaxing on a sunny beach and watching his favorite shows or movies, such as SNL and Mama Mia.
Kris was predeceased by his brother, Dennis Madison, and father, James Madison. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Madison, his sisters, Tamara Barrett and Candy Madison, and his brothers, Guy Madison, Greg Madison, Jeff Madison, Justin Madison, and Joshua Madison. He will be dearly missed by all his family, friends, co-workers, and his two kitties, Bray Bray and Ky Ky.
A service to celebrate Kris's vibrant life and enduring legacy of kindness and compassion will be held on February 10, 2024 at 8:00 PM at 321 Holly Ln, Cosmopolis WA 98537. For those who are not be able to attend, a celebration of life will also be held in Vancouver, WA (date and location to follow).
In his memory, let us strive to live life fully, take care of ourselves and others, just as he taught us through his remarkably lived life. Rest in peace, dear Kris. You are forever in our hearts.
