Dear Pam and Ken,
Words cannot convey the depth of my sadness at learning just now of Kristie's passing! My heart aches for you and your family. What a sweetheart she was! She was my "daughter-in-love" for those years when she was my "daughter-in-law." Would that the marriage had not ended! I was so pleased to learn that Kristie had found happiness in marriage a second time, however, and that her husband, Ken, was her "best friend." How I wish I had continued to keep in touch with her, especially when I learned that she lived just over in Cary! My mind is flooded with fond memories of Kristie, her kindness, her smile, her generosity, her good attitude. I truly loved that girl like a daughter, and my heart cries for all of you, as it cries for myself as well. Such a loss! Some things we will never understand this side of heaven, but rest assured that God draws near to the brokenhearted. May you feel His comfort during this time of grief.

Kristen's parents and I were high school classmates. I was spending some time with Pam and Ken and I was fortunate enough to meet Kristen. She was beautiful, intelligent and just a delight to be with. I can't think of enough good things to say about her and my heart is with Pam and Ken and the entire family
