Krista Chrun-Hengst, born May 19, 1966, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025. A compassionate spirit and a source of ceaseless love, she shaped the lives of those around her with kindness and generosity.
Krista is survived by her loving husband, Ted Chrun, whom she married in 2022, and her two sons, Jonathan and Ryan Hengst. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy in her granddaughter, Coralline Hengst. Her profound wisdom and extraordinary love will continue to inspire them, and they will remember her fondly.
A graduate of Phoenix High School class of 1985, Krista went on to fulfill her calling of serving others by graduating from Nursing School. She was truly an embodiment of kindness and empathy, always striving to share the important lesson of being kind to others. This compassion was not limited to her professional life; she extended the same warmth and care to her family and friends.
Faith Church held a special place in her heart as she was a regular attendee. It was here that she found solace and tranquility, her faith renewing her resolve to help others.
Known for her simplicity and joyful demeanor, Krista had an affinity for the color yellow, symbolizing happiness and positivity, much like her own personality. She took pleasure in the simple joys of life, finding comfort in her favorite bologna sandwich and sipping apple juice. Her love for 'Stranger Things', and the game 'Clue', showed her enthusiasm for mystery and adventure. She cherished vacationing in Florida, taking in the beautiful sights and serene beaches.
Krista always believed in giving back to society and channeled her efforts towards Cancer Family Help Programs. Her kindheartedness and generosity radiated around her, inspiring others to take up causes close to their hearts.
Though her presence will be greatly missed, Krista's spirit will continue to live on through her favorite books, in the laughter shared over favorite TV shows, and in the memories made playing her favorite games. Her contributions and love for her family will always be remembered, making her a beacon of love and kindness for her loved ones.
Her life was a testament to her greatest accomplishment: graduating from Nursing School. But beyond these accomplishments, Krista lived a life filled with small moments of joy, silent acts of love, and the priceless gift of unconditional love to her family.
