With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Koren Lynn Russell, age 48, of Colorado Springs, who went home to be with the Lord on April 2, 2026.

Koren was born on August 2, 1977, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is preceded in death by her mother, Joann Kay Russell.

Koren was a loving mother, grandmother, niece, granddaughter, and a true friend to many. She had a warm spirit and a heart full of love for her family and everyone around her.

She is survived by her children: Quentin, Elijah (Gabriella), Shanteyla, and Javon; her beloved grandchildren: Honesty, Azariah, and Azrael; her grandmother, Dorthea; her aunts Verna, Gina, Kimberly, and Uncle Billy; her sisters Danielle and Derricsa; her brother Keean; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish her memory.

Koren found joy in the simple things—she loved coloring, listening to slow jams, being around animals and children, and spending time cooking and enjoying meals with loved ones.

Her love, laughter, and presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew her.

The family appreciates all prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.
