Kirk's obituary
Kirk graduated from New England Technical Institute in 1986. He was a world traveler and had the opportunity to live in many cultures. In 2000, he discovered he was of Finnish descent and took advantage of a degree program offered to descendants of Finnish natives. He spent several years attending university and made many friends and was able to kindle relationships with family members from which he was related. Kirk graduated with a Bachelor’s in International Business from Jyvaskyla, Finland in 2011. He was a lifelong collector and dealer in vintage memorabilia and comic books. When he returned to the U.S. he worked for Robert Yeremian, his friend of 30 years, at The Time Capsule in Cranston, doing what he loved best. In his off-time he was avid, season ticket holder of the Providence Bruins.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his life-long step-brother and family, James E. and Rakhat B. Strickland of Colorado Springs, CO, and their children Leonardo J. and Isabella B., to which Kirk was a beloved uncle. He is also survived by his step-brother Charles Tilander and step-sister Kim Tilander of Kenosha, WI. Kirk is also survived by his many relatives of the country of Finland. He is also survived by his Aunt Charlotte Bosch and cousins Summer E. Bosch of Dallas, TX, Rachel, Roanna, and John David Bethel of Titusville, FL.
There will not be a Funeral Service and his cremated remains will be cared for by his family until a time in the future when he will be laid to rest.
