I knew him as Gunny, one of the finest Marines, and men, I ever served with back in 2nd battalion 5th Marines. Haven’t seen him in 40 years, but decided to look him up today and see what my old friend was doing. Says a lot about the man, me with a bad memory still remembering Gunny Aberg. Rest in Peace my friend. Cpl Barnes

Kirk was a great person.  He will be greatly missed by all.  He did fight a good fight.  Can’t wait to meet up again! We love and miss you! ❤️
