Our hearts are broken as we mourn the sudden loss of Kirby White, a beloved son, uncle, friend to many, and honored teacher. Kirby’s bright light left us too soon. We will remember his beautiful smile, genuine love of teaching, and contagious laughter.

He began teaching social studies to the 6th-grade students at Lanier Middle School in August 2018. He adored his students and never missed a chance to tell others how proud he was of them.

In his personal time, Kirby was fascinated by history and had a passion and sharing his knowledge with others. He also very much loved his little dog, Cinder.

His friends will tell you that just as much as he loved the school year, he loved summer break. Kirby was an amazing line dancer and knew how to have a good time.  He enjoyed relaxing by the pool, going out for lunch with his friends, great music, and art.

It’s hard to express the grief felt over losing such a vibrant young man so suddenly.  Our hope is that we can all find comfort and peace in the memories shared here. We encourage you to share stories, photos, and messages here.
