KD's obituary

How can someone who has always been larger than life be described in just a few words?

Deborah Elizabeth Beisinger, aka Kindred, etc., 64, was called home to Jesus on her grandma’s birthday this July 12.

She leaves behind many who loved her - husband Bob Beisinger of Seneca, MO, parents Don and Beverly Kennedy of Tonganoxie KS, sister Lori Ridenhour of Lawrence KS and her children, daughter Rachel Armstrong of Phoenix, AZ, grandchildren Adeline, Sadie, and Hayden, plus her lil’ ‘punkinhead’ Boston, daughter Dessirie Holsted of KCMO, grandchildren Brittani and Zachrey, son Shane Cuzzort of Blue Springs MO and his family, daughter Raven, plus many step-children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who she loved as her own. And lest we forget, she had that whole internet following!

Liz taught us that you can always start over, you’re never too young for coffee, and that you can do anything you’re big enough to do. And, boy, did she do a lot! An EMT, butcher, funeral director, antiques dealer, auctioneer, restauranteer, house flipper, author, naturopath, soap-maker, G-ma, and homesteader, she always gave all glory to God in everything she accomplished. Heck, she could even turn a wrench as easily as she milked goats or sewed a dress or gave you a makeup tutorial - while canning and thinking about her next blog post.

No one would call her easy to love, but that’s how it is with brilliant minds. And she was as beautiful as she was able. She could find humor in everything, and often had the whole room laughing. I know we will miss gathering at her table - to eat her delicious cooking, but mostly to hear her speak. She fed our souls and touched our hearts. To know her is to be a better person - and a better equipped person.

Her disability took its toll, as it does with people who can do EVERYTHING, and then can’t. Now she rests with her grammas and grampas, and her sweet babies, James and Tabitha.

I love you Mom.
