Our dear daddy, Kin Chung Wong, sadly passed away on January 5, 2023 3:07 AM Hong Kong time, at the age of 85, after a battle with covid, stroke, and pneumonia. Kin was born on October 15, 1937 in Canton, China. After surviving WWII, he found his way to Hong Kong and studied hard and eventually taught as a teacher before going into dentistry in the USA. He was a fun-loving father and was always present in our lives. He was a very health-conscious man, and loved to travel the world and experience new cultures and foods. As many of you know, he valued education greatly and encouraged us with a very open mind. Through him, we could appreciate so many delicious Chinese and Hong Kong foods and travel to many new places. You can say, he worked hard and played hard. He was non-religious throughout his life and didn’t follow Chinese traditions much, but in his last days on earth, he received the Gospel message with tears and accepted Jesus Christ. We believe he is now in heaven and is free from suffering. Our daddy wanted to be cremated and to have his ashes scattered in the ocean. We plan to hold a memorial service in Los Angeles, and travel to Hong Kong at a future date to scatter his ashes. There will be a memorial service on January 16, 2023, 10:00 AM at LA Pilgrim Church, 1329 S Hope St, Los Angeles, CA 90015.
