Kim's obituary
We are devastated to announce the unexpected death of Kimberly Lemay Winrich, 26, of Marinette, WI, after a hard-fought battle with a severe illness. She passed away peacefully on May 5th, 2023 surrounded with love and comfort and family by her side.
Kim was born to Damon and Linda Winrich, on May 3rd, 1997, in Green Bay, WI. Kim graduated from Marinette High School in 2015. She went on to pursue several college courses pertaining to graphic design and photography which only expanded her artistic abilities!
Kim was such a light in this sometimes-dark world and she will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. Kim’s biggest passion in life was music. As an avid singer, she spent countless hours perfecting her ability. Kim had the honor of singing the National Anthem at many different events throughout the county including the Marinette Guns and Hoses Annual Basketball Game and the Annual Outhouse Races in Silver Cliff. When Kim wasn’t singing, she could be found drawing, crafting, studying and collecting crystals, or playing video games. She had a passion for video games that helped her to build many friendships that were deep and true.
In 2011, Kim was granted a wish from the Make-A-Wish Foundation and had a vacation she could only dream of. She and her family had the opportunity to watch a live recording of Dancing with the Stars and met many celebrities and dancers. Her family had never seen her so happy. Kim’s family is forever grateful that they were able to make these memories with her.
Kim leaves behind her parents, Damon and Linda, her sister Kirstin (Ken) Banister, nephew, Theo Banister, maternal grandparents, Steve and Ann Wender of Silver Cliff, paternal grandparents, Denis and Sandy Winrich of Chippewa Falls, Larry and Paulette Popp of Cornell, many more loving relatives, and several beloved friends.
Kim will be honored in a Celebration of Life on June 24th, 2023. Family and close friends will gather at The Outback, W1997 Old Peshtigo Road, Marinette, WI 54143, at 12:00PM to share memories of this wonderful soul. A benefit will follow to help with costs associated with her death. Benefit will start at 2:00PM at The Outback.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the family to assist with costs associated with Kim’s death. In addition to assisting the family, please consider donating to the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help make other children’s dreams come true, just as they did for Kim.
