Kimberly's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kimberly "Kimmy" Welch-Nichols, a woman whose vibrant personality has left a profound and lasting impact on those fortunate to know her. Kimberly, affectionately called Kimmy by her loved ones, passed in her home on September 23, 2025. Kimberly was born on January 30, 1989, and throughout her 36 years of life, she embodied an array of cherished qualities including joyfulness, exuberance, humor, and unwavering love.
Kimberly's legacy is marked by her dedication to spreading happiness and her determination to show kindness to all living creatures, big and small. She lived her life with an infectious laughter and an ability to find joy in the simplest things, a quality that was not only endearing but also incredibly inspiring. From an early age, a smile was rarely not found spreading across her face. She was talkative and outgoing, never missing an opportunity to make a friend. She was adventurous, loving to travel, go off-roading with friends, and ride on the back of a motorcycle with her husband wherever he was willing to go. She was known for rescuing animals, no matter the species, and showing them the care and affection they deserved.
Her lessons were simple yet powerful, teaching us to not take life too seriously and to spread joy and laughter wherever we go.
She leaves behind her beloved husband Jessie Nichols, older brother Holden Welch and his wife Linsey, and younger sister Catherine Burke and her husband Alexander. She joins her mother, Cathy Welch, and father, Robert Welch, who passed before her.
In the face of this profound sorrow, we find comfort in the knowledge that Kimberly's spirit, her laughter, and the lessons she taught us will live on. Kimberly "Kimmy" Welch-Nichols, your journey on earth may have ended, but your spirit and influence will forever resonate in our hearts. Rest well beautiful. You will be dearly missed.
