Kimberly's obituary
In Loving Memory of Kimberly Ann Skirven McMahon
05/26/1968 – 06/28/2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kimberly McMahon, who fought a courageous battle against stage 4 pancreatic cancer for five months. She peacefully departed this world surrounded by her loving family on June 28th, 2023.
Born on May 26th, 1968, Kimberly lived a life that touched the hearts of many. She dedicated the first half of her career to the service of others, working for the Department of Children and Families, where she made a positive impact on the lives of countless children. In the second half of her career, she found her true calling as an Early Childhood Intervention Therapist, specializing in helping children aged 0-3 with developmental delays. Her unwavering commitment to her profession and the wellbeing of these children was truly remarkable.
Beyond her professional achievements, Kimberly was an incredible mother, adoring grandmother, and a loyal wife of nearly 30 years. Her love and devotion knew no bounds, and her family was the center of her universe. She poured her heart into raising her children, nurturing them with affection, guidance, and unwavering support. As a grandmother, she reveled in the joy of spoiling her grandchildren, and creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Kimberly possessed a vibrant spirit and a zest for life that was infectious. She had a wild side that she fearlessly embraced, evident in her love for biking and her sharpshooting skills. As a member of the daughters of the American Revolution, she honored her heritage and displayed a deep appreciation for her country's history. She embodied grace and elegance, always exuding a sense of class and refinement in everything she did.
Her ability to balance her organized nature with a free-spirited soul was truly remarkable. She lived life on her own terms, embracing every opportunity to explore, laugh, and enjoy the simple pleasures. Kimberly was an embodiment of love, radiating warmth, kindness, and compassion to all who crossed her path.
Her absence leaves a void in our hearts that can never be filled, but her legacy of love and resilience will forever be cherished. Kimberly's beautiful life serves as an inspiration to all who knew her, reminding us to live fully and love wholeheartedly.
Kimberly is survived by her husband, her children, her grandchildren, and a wide circle of family and friends who will deeply miss her.
A celebration of Kimberly's life will be held on July 22nd, 2023, at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 210 S Indian River Dr, Fort Pierce, FL 34950. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice in her memory, as she had a deep passion for helping others.
We take solace in knowing that Kimberly is now at peace, free from pain, and watching over us from above. May her spirit continue to guide and inspire us as we carry her memory in our hearts.
Rest in eternal peace. You will be forever loved and missed.
