Kimberly's obituary

Kimberly Lynn Swan Wood, age 54, of Searcy, Arkansas, was born on August 28, 1970, in Searcy and passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025, at Unity Hospital in Searcy.

Kimberly is preceded in death by her mother, Geneva Clause; her fathers, Harold Swan and John Clause; her brothers, Daniel Swan and Donald Swan; and her sister, Doreen Swan Cantrell.

She is survived by her loving husband, Steward Wood; her son, Jonathan Wood; her daughter, Jessica Wood Gilbert; and her siblings: Darlene Swan DuBoise, Denise Geneva Dailey, Karen Sue Chadwick, and Dennis Stewart Swan, all of Searcy, Arkansas; as well as Elizabeth Farbrothers and Diane Swan Rose, both of Toledo, Ohio. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and countless friends who loved her dearly.

Kim had a deep love for animals, especially cats, and dedicated much of her time to caring for homeless cats and kittens. Her generosity and kindness made everyone around her feel valued and cherished. She lived each day with gratitude, recognizing every sunrise as a blessing.

Though our hearts ache with sadness, we know she is now free from pain and at peace in heaven. Kimberly Lynn Swan Wood will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

Kim's remains will be cremated as was her wish, with the exception of her hair, which she left to her best friend.  The details of the memorial service will be given at a later date.
