Kimberly's obituary

It is with immense sorrow that we announce the passing of Kimberly Lam, who left us on June 3, 2024. Kimberly, born on January 20, 1981, was a beacon of resilience, humor, and strength, touching the lives of many with her generous spirit and witty personality. She finally succumbed to her long 25 years battle with Lupus.

Kimberly had an innate love for life, which was evident through her zeal for adventurous endeavors like traveling and embarking on cruises. She found joy in exploring theme parks, taking immense pleasure in the thrill and excitement they offered. Kimberly's vivacity was not only reflected in her adventures but also through her palate- her love for Pad Thai and ice cream were no secret to those who knew her.

Purple, a color that symbolically resonates with features of her personality like strength and wit, was unsurprisingly her favorite. But Kimberly was not just a strong and witty individual. She embodied resilience and was a source of laughter, bringing a measure of joy to every interaction.

Kimberly's professional life was also marked with distinction.  She graduated from Newark Memorial Highschool with honors as class salutatorian; graduated from UCLA with a bachelor of arts, international economics and minor in computing socialization and spanish linguistics. She was a remarkable leader and manager at Kamans Art Shoppes, where her guidance and support had a significant impact on her team and peers. The lessons she imparted through her work will be carried forward, a testimony to her influential personality.

Kimberly's legacy is one of kindness, generosity, and unyielding strength. Her light will continue to shine through her family: her father, Michael Lam, her mother, Yim Lam, her sisters, Alicia LamFinneke and her husband Chris Finneke; Michelle Yung and her husband Jesse Yung; Joleen Lam, and her beloved nephews and niece, Tyler Finneke, Jade Finneke, Benny Lam-Deharo, and Roman Lam-Deharo, her uncles, Harry Toy, Frank Toy, Tommy Toy and Jimmy Toy, her aunt, Yim Cheung and her husband John Cheung, and her cousins, Janet Cheung and Kory Cheung.

Though Kimberly's physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit lingers, a reminder of a life lived fully, generously, and with unwavering strength. In our hearts and memories, she lives on.
