Kimberly's obituary
Kimberly Heinrich, lovingly known as “Kim” to friends and family and “Memaw” to her cherished granddaughters, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, in Kent, Washington, in the care of a loving adult family home. She was 65 years old.
Born on November 5, 1959, in Warren, Ohio, Kim was a woman of quiet strength, deep compassion, and unwavering dedication to her family and her passions. She is survived by her mother Bonita, father Joe, siblings Craig and Chris, her three children Crystal, David, and Matthew, and her beloved granddaughters Shayla and Norah. She was preceded in death by her husband Vince, and her loving dog Rusty.
Kim’s life was marked by perseverance and a deep commitment to learning and growth. While raising her children, she returned to school and earned her Paralegal AAS Degree from Highline Community College in 2004. Later, in 2013, she graduated from Bellevue College with an Associate’s Degree in Business Management and a Project Management Certification.
Professionally, Kim brought her talents and dedication to several roles. She served as an Administrative Assistant for Washington State Parks, where she played a key role in developing the agency’s emergency response manual. She also worked as an Executive Assistant at Half Price Pots and later as a purchasing and receiving administrator for a technology consulting firm. In every position, Kim was known for her diligence, organization, and quiet leadership.
Outside of work, Kim found joy in the garden. She was an avid gardener who nurtured flowers, vegetables, and especially pea pods with care and love. Her green thumb was matched only by her desire to share that joy with others — especially her granddaughter, with whom she spent countless hours planting, tending, and harvesting.
Kim also had a deep love for sewing and crafts. Her creativity and attention to detail shone through in the many handmade treasures she created over the years. Among her most cherished projects were the custom, individualized Christmas stockings she lovingly made for each family member — each one a unique reflection of the person it was made for, and a lasting symbol of her warmth and thoughtfulness during the holidays.
Kim’s life will be honored in a private ceremony with her three children. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
