Kimberly Anne Fitzgerald, of Whitmore Lake, Michigan, age 63, passed away peacefully after a long battle with lung cancer on August 26th, 2023 with her family by her side. A celebration of life for Kim will be held at a later date. Kim was born on June 15th, 1960, to Judith and Edward Green in Royal Oak, Michigan. She graduated from Brighton High School in 1978, and went on to get her associates degree in accounting. Kim worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Green Oak Charter Township Police Department from January 26th, 1998, until her passing. She was very dedicated to this position for over 25 years and because of that, the whole department became her second family. She was an avid reader, loved watching Outlander and loved spending time with her family. One of her favorite past times was taking her grandson Caleb to Lewiston to see relatives, but most of all, she loved fishing with him. They had a bond like no other and could out-fish anyone. Kim is survived by her children; daughter Danielle (Brenton) Escobedo of Whitmore Lake, Michigan; son Dustin Clay of Brighton, Michigan; grandson Caleb Captain of Whitmore Lake, Michigan; granddaughter Gabriella Escobedo of Whitmore Lake, Michigan; brother Tye (Angela) Green of Madison Heights, Michigan; and sister in-law Linda Green of Kimball Township, Michigan, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. Kim was preceded in death by her parents, Judith and Edward Green of Southfield, Michigan; brother Michael Green of Kimball Township, Michigan; and aunt and uncle, Helen and Bob Wheelock of Lewiston, Michigan.
