I apologize, I did not know this page existed until now. I wanted to share a memory of her š©µĀ
In 1986 āMissā Kimberly Ā was my mentor in the Oliver play in Troy. I had lost my mother in 1985 and looked up to her as somewhat of a mother figure. Kimberly radiated love and kindness. She was the most amazing soul I have ever met. Every time, thereafter, I saw her gave me the biggest hug š„° She will always be remembered with love. Ā I am so blessed to have known her. 𩵠She is missed so much.Ā

Kimberly chaperoned an Art Club Trip to San Francisco one year with me. It was a lot of fun. One day, when everyone had 1-1.5 hr free time, Kimberly booked a massage. It was extremely important the kids and everyone showed up promptly at the pre set time, at the designated destĆnate, Ā to make sure that everyone was ok, and we could depart for the next activity. Kimberly didnāt show up. Quite a bit later, she did. Her massage was late!!! Everyone safeā¦.was a good laugh and a good memory!

Generous, happy, smiling, laughing, dancing., creative and very expressive! So many, many memories that I cannot list them all. Teaching with her, sharing songs and dancing at the Hot Club, it is so difficult to realize she is gone. I love you, Kimberly and miss you. ā¤ļø

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with her at events at the Troy library. She was always very nice and assisted in whatever way she could. It was fun to listen to her stories of Troy and the people she knew and loved.Ā

I was fortunate to have taught with Kimberly at W. F. Morrison Elementary in Troy. She was such an energetic, vibrant, and talented teacher that wanted to do her best for every student. Two of my own children were recipients of her caring teaching style. Later I had Ā Laura and Madeline as students in my class. I loved that they both were the best parts of George and Kimberly.

I knew her first as a beloved colleague. She was so creative and knowledgeable in her position. She taught my kids, I taught hers. One of my fondest memories was watching her so freely dancing with George. What a great relationship they portrayed for all.Ā

Kimberly was an amazing woman who had such a positive influence on my life. Ā I was about 7 or 8 when she moved to 17-Mile and she quickly became one of my best adult friends. Ā She was the teacherās aide at Sylvanite school for a year or two and was such an enriching presence. Ā She took the Christmas program to another level. Ā The 17-Mile kids would carpool with her and each morning sheā d summarize the chapter of Tarzan sheād read the evening before , dropping Ā the cliffhanger as we rolled up to school. Ā She took kids roller skating on her own dime if they worked hard and overcame an academic difficulty or challenge. Ā Her dedication and passion for education still resonates with me today in the work I do. Ā And of course I have to mention the banana split parties where I first met Erik Owen, a lifelong friend. Ā Hereās to a true gem and a life well lived! Weāll miss you Kimberly!

So many folks here mention her hugs! And OOOOHH!! weren't they fantastic!Ā
What stands out to me about her hugs is that they were equal parts giving and receiving.Ā When she wrapped her tiny, powerful arms around you, you really FELT the love she was giving.Ā And you really felt her acknowledgement of the love you were returning.Ā It was a very honest hug. I can still feel it, and will put it in my treasure chest.

My first memory of Kimberly is from 17 Mile (where else). Mike Wall, myself and Kimberly were walking from her place to a gathering either at the Sedler's or the Graham's. The conversation was light, yet I remember it was meaningful at the time.Ā Happy dancing my dear friend. I'm saving a hug for you.

I met Kim when I was cleaning for the library. What a sweet, loving and kind soul! I was going through my divorce at the time and she always checked up on me. Even after I quit cleaning the library and was working at the grocery store she would see me and I would get a bug hug and she would ask me how I am doing and how life is going for me.Ā
My mom adored her as well. Mom passed last year but she would ask about her now and again and if I had seen her. She was just a bright light!

Kimberly was invited to partake in a few drama productions at the high school. One in particular that I was cast as an understudy for was Rock Around The Block, she and a few gals cheered for a singer on set as his adoring fans and Kimberly also helped choreograph some of the dances as I recall.Ā
She and her infectious spirit and beautiful heart will be greatly missed.Ā

Anywhere, Anytime (it won't let me put that in the year option)
Dancing, watching Kimberly and George dance. My mother and Kimberly dancing, just dancing, so much dancing! My mother is a beautiful dancer but it was Kimberly's grace and flare that I have always aspired to. Mother, daughter dance offs, very unofficial, between Kimberly and my mother, Karyn, and Laura and I are some fond memories at "Franks" aka Northwest music aka the Hot club. I was lucky enough to dance with Kimberly this summer at folk fest, I never dreamed it would be my last. Whenever I dance I'll remember you, Kimberly. If you can walk, you can dance!

I loved when she would come into the office always smiling and always asking how you are and would remember the next time she came in. Ā I sure will miss her coming into City Hall. Ā I have worked there for 23 years and that is where I knew her from. Ā
