Kimberly's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Kimberly Anderson, who passed away unexpectedly on February 16, 2024, at the age of 51 after a brief illness. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Despite the many health challenges Kim braved throughout her life, she remained resilient and persevered through it all.
Kimmy, as she was fondly known, was born in Waukegan, IL, to a very special couple, Kenneth Anderson and Joyce (Baldwin) Anderson. She grew up in Lindenhurst, IL, alongside her much loved sisters, Kirstin (Tina) Anderson and Kari Anne Anderson.
Her warm personality, sense of humor, and generous heart made a lasting impression on all who knew her. Kimberly had many passions and hobbies, including creating a special family of rescued pets (her babies) over the years, like dogs, cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, and more; love of crafting and art design; sci-fi stories, movies, books, and conventions; music from classic musicals to 80s hits to K-pop; baking, especially Christmas favorites; creative writing and fan fiction; and nostalgia for classic 70s TV shows.
Kimberly is survived by her father, Kenneth; her sisters, Kirstin and Kari; a host of favorite aunts and uncles; her treasured cousins, including the co-founders of the Iron River People’s Club; and her special dog, Pip. Kimberly was predeceased by her mother, Joyce, and grandparents Elsie and Frank Baldwin and Eleanor and Chester Anderson.
We will miss her dearly, but take comfort in the fact that she is now in a better place, free from pain and suffering. Kimberly was a fighter till the end, and we are comforted knowing she joins her cherished mother in the peaceful beyond.
