Kimberly Lauren Flores Capulong, OTD, OTR/L, peacefully passed away in Chicago on June 2nd, 2024, at 30 years old, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on February 24, 1994, to Nestor and Leds Capulong and is the younger sister of Mark Capulong (Fatima Capulong).

Kim received her Bachelor’s Degree in English and Psychology from Loyola University Chicago and went on to pursue her Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy where she graduated as Magna Cum Laude from St. Ambrose University. Never venturing far from her family in Lombard, Kim began her career as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist at Westside Children's Therapy where she impacted the lives of many patients and formed lasting friendships with the staff.

Kim was a lover of life and new experiences. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, going to concerts, and shopping for the best deals. Kim prided herself on things like having a massive collection of coffee sleeves and her ambition to visit all 50 states. She was a dedicated godmother to her nieces, Jazmin and Mikaela, as she made sure to never miss a moment with them. She was the best cousin as she never turned down a game night. She was also the best dog mom to Milo, who meant the world to her as he lifted her up through the toughest times. She left an unforgettable mark on this world and brought immeasurable joy to the lives of those that knew her with her kindness, sense of humor, loyalty, unwavering friendship, and boundless love. Even at the end, she found a way to smile and laugh by making jokes at the hospital. Kim will be remembered for her cute little dimple, witty personality, girl power to the fullest, and always being down for a good time.

There will be a memorial held for Kim on Sunday, June 16th 2024 at the Hyatt Lodge Oak Brook Chicago from 4p-10p. Please arrange for flowers to be delivered directly to the memorial service.
