Kimberly's obituary
Our beloved Kimberly Renee Boynton, age 54, spread her wings to heaven in the early hours of February 21, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Kimberly, affectionately known as “Kim-Kim,” was born June 29, 1968, in Neptune City, NJ, to parents Isaiah and Karen (McNish) Boynton. After graduating from Neptune High School in 1986, Kimberly received a full scholarship to attend Russell Sage College in New York. Thereafter, Kimberly went on to study Nursing at Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing in Camden, NJ. Following graduation, Kim continued her educational endeavors in nursing, where she found her niche in giftedly serving geriatric patients for over two decades. In addition, her expertise led her to supervisory and leadership roles in nursing as an Admissions Director and Marketing Director for various hospital institutions.
Kim was grounded in her unwavering faith in her Heavenly Father. She loved her church (Shiloh Baptist Church in El Paso, Texas) and was an active online member every Sunday, where she worshipped with family. Kim-Kim was a voracious reader, formidable scrabble player, crossword extraordinaire, and master of Jeopardy trivia. She was well known as being an exceptional baker and talented chef by family and friends. Kimberly was a true intellectual, well-informed, and excelled in everything she invested her time in. Her clever and witty personality sparked laughter and lit up our hearts. Spending quality time with family was what Kim loved most. Kim’s greatest joy was being a doting furmom to her furbaby, Eddie, and a devoted mother to her two heartbeats, Bryan, and Porscha. She had a remarkable ability to connect with people, share herself and evoke that same spirit of love in each person she knew. Kimberly was independent, strong, resourceful, and resilient. She embodied humility, compassion, kindness, and love; she was beautiful inside and out.
Kimberly is survived and forever missed by her son, Bryan Boynton; daughter, Porscha Boynton; furbaby, Eddie Boynton; father, Isaiah Boynton; mother, Karen (McNish) Boynton; three sisters, Tamarra Mason, Cassandra Boynton-Bell, and Tawan Johnson; two brothers-in-law Thomas Mason, and Ray Bell; life partner, best friend, and rock, Phillip Lawrence; several nieces and nephews; a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Family and Friends are welcome to attend a celebration of life, which will be held at New Thankful Baptist Church in Philadelphia, PA, on March 11, 2023, from 11:00 am-2:00 pm.
