In the comforting embrace of her home, surrounded with love, Kimberly Lynn Gillaspie was called home on January 27, 2024, at the age of 54, after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born on January 25, 1970, in Trenton, Michigan, Kimberly held the cherished memories of her early years close to her heart throughout her life. Marked by her unyielding strength and the sweetness of her demeanor, Kimberly faced the turbulent storm of her illness with a spirit that never wavered. Her courage in the face of such adversity was a testament to her character. Like a well-rooted tree, she stood strong, weathering the tempests of uncertainty with unwavering faith and resounding hope.

Her journey on earth is lovingly remembered by her son, Sean, who was the beacon of her life. She also leaves behind her dear siblings, Dar and Rick Pogats, David and Angela Penland, and Sarah and Kyle Devaney, all of whom found inspiration in her resolute determination.

Reuniting with those who have gone before her, Kimberly joins her parents, Annette and Robert, siblings Marion Blade and Lisa Penland, and her treasured son, Simon, in eternal peace.

The community is invited to gather and honor Kimberly's life at a Memorial Service scheduled for February 17th, 2024, at 2 PM at St Mary, Our Lady of the Annunciation, located at 32477 Church St, Rockwood, MI 48173.
