Kimberley's obituary

On Saturday June 8th, Our dear Kimberly Brasher, beloved mother, friend, daughter, auntie, sister, and community member passed away.

Kimberly was born on September 17th, 1968 In Amarillo Texas to her mother and father Gayle and Eddie Brasher. She leaves behind a son, Rain and daughter Blue, sister Tracy and brother in law Russ, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Kimberly birthed 2 kids with her ex-husband Robin Rues, settling home to Fayetteville Arkansas in the Ozarks, where she lived for many years in a community she loved dearly.

Kimberly was a ray of light in every community she was a part of, with beloved friends from her time living in Austin and Denton Texas, Southern California, Alaska, Amsterdam and Bali.

She was a peace activist, and dedicated member of Omni Center for Peace and Justice. She participated in local groups for writing and centering prayer. She was a member of Christian Life Cathedral. She worked as a nanny in California, and was a teacher in Dallas and Austin public schools. She led a preschool for local children called Edge of the Woods.

As a steadfast mother, Kimberly raised her children with unconditional love and great focused intention. They both graduated high school and attended elite colleges. She worked so hard to provide and advocate for them and raised them to be bright, creative and impactful adults and community members.

Kimberly was a living earth angel who cared so deeply for people, the earth and for justice. She was a dedicated, steadfast and devout friend to all who knew her. She brought people together in a really special way. She was a yoga instructor and a motocross racer. She spent years writing gratitude in a journal and had a dream to collect 1,000 gratitudes from those she loved.

Kimberly was an incredible renaissance woman with so many stories and experiences who lived her life to the absolute fullest with a big open heart and an incredible laugh.

She will be dearly missed by so many people who will hold each other closer in her honor.
