Kim went to my wedding on a very hot day 33 years ago. I sometimes commented on how hot that day was. Years later I went to Kim’s wedding. It was also a hot day. When she and her husband came to my table, she told me that their wedding was one degree hotter than mine.  And it was. We both laughed in agreement.
In honor of Kim's birthday. Our hearts and prayers are and have been with your family.

Always smiling and a kind word for all. The choir will miss her playing the flute and occasionally singing with us also. She never complained during her chemo, she just showed up at church and blessed us with her music. Will miss her a lot! Sympathies to the family, prayers with you all (and hugs)
Alyssa, I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts.

I taught Amanda and Alyssa in middle school, and I am sure that Kim was a wonderful mother, since the girls were both great kids. My heart goes out to the whole family. It is too soon for you to lose your Mom.
Rest in Peace aunt Kimmy. You we're one of the best aunt's. As a small child I couldn't wait to go to grandma Hepburns house to see you and the rest of the family for thanksgiving. I will cherish those memories forever. You are now in the heaven amongst the angels, Grandma Beverly, my dad Michael and Daniel. Fly high aunt Kimmy. You we're a beautiful soul. Until we meet again.
Love Lisa Hepburn.
We are going to miss Kim's kindness and warm personality. She always greeted you with a big smile. You are in our prayers Kim and Swinkels family.
We knew Kim from ‘a far.’ As a St, Charles community member, we had the privilege of benefiting from her beautiful musicianship and kind and caring hospitality. Her legacy is evident in her overwhelming love for God not only in her serving the community, but in the love and guidance she’s instilled in her family. Again, from ‘a far’, Ron and her children have been an inspiration to adults and youth and are true prophets . We mourn her physical presence and are grateful for one more St. Charles Angel in God’s heavenly kingdom. Louise and Ken Simons
Hey Kim really going to miss you. You were a person who was always so willing to help others and the person who helped me 30 plus years ago get off to a great start. It seems like it was just yesterday when we were discussing you and Ron getting married and then starting a family which soon followed. You watched me grow up here at SJC always guiding my spirit along the way. You made my daily commute so much better because you had a clear understanding of what being a commuter was all about not to mention giving me the minute by minute update on the roads. Thanks for teaching me all the back roads and short cuts so I could get home sooner to be with my family. Thanks for all your wisdom during our daily morning coffee chats about kids family and life. You have left us with wonderful memories and a smile that will keep you close to our hearts. My condolences to your family and friends and may you rest in peace Kim always. Paula Jones J71
I worked with Kim at the Airport for over 17 years. She was so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. I could count on her to have an answer for me or help me find one, no matter what the question was. She was great at her job and a wonderful friend. I will miss you so much Kim!

Kim will always be with you and she's only a thought away. When it's your time to pass on from this world to the next, Kim will be waiting for you all.

You all have my deepest and sincerest condolences.
News of Kim's passing was shocking and heartbreaking. I have had the pleasure of working with Kim for over 17 years. Not only was she absolutely excellent at her job but she was a dear friend and someone who always looked out for us in Operations as she would her own family. Kim has left us too soon, she will be sincerely missed, and there will always be a void in the hearts of SJC staff in her absence. Rest in peace Kim as God welcomes you home and I pray He brings comfort to your husband and children as we all grieve your loss together.
Our heartfelt prayers and sympathy for the loss of lovely always smiling Kim. She was a fighter to the end. Blessings to all the family.
Kim was always so nice to me when I joined the choir. I loved when she would decide to sing instead of playing the flute. She would stand next to me, and sing beautifully. We would talk between breaks, and that is when I got to know her more. I loved her flute playing also. I will miss her dearly.
Kimmie, I still can't believe you're gone but will always remember our morning talks in Ops as you shared all the events in the life of the Swinkels family. You had family pictures up in your cube and you were so proud of Amanda, Alyssa, Justin and Kyle, and Ron of course, and your love for them all truly showed in everything you did. Thanks for all you did for SJC and for your smiling greetings every morning, and especially for your friendship. I'll always think of you with a smile. Love to you always.
I am having a hard time accepting that you are gone Kim. Last week I was thinking about you. Little did I know you weren’t on this earth anymore. You were one of the best people I worked with at San Jose Airport. You were excellent at your work. Every year you were the first to remind me Lent was starting. I’ll never forget that. Your personality and your upbeat spirit will be missed terribly. I apologize that I cannot attend your viewing and funeral. But know you and your family are in my heart and mind. I’m sad to know you’re gone. But now it’s God’s turn to experience your bright and happy spirit. You are missed!

Kim commuted every single day from Livermore, always on time or early with coffee or a can of coke. So we had no reason to complain about getting to work on time, we resided in San Jose. She decided she wanted to become an analyst, so she went to college and kept up with the kids at home and with Ron her husband. I can’t remember a single day that Kim missed of work, if she didn’t feel well, she simple took some medicine and kept going. She trained me very well in the AOC, the most organized person I know! at first I thought she’s hard to keep up with, but as soon as I got into a deeper understanding on her level of training no nonsense, testing, sitting next to me all day to make sure I answered the callers in the correct manner, I kept up with her. Kim’s training was intense, but I understood my job for years to come, there was no retraining with Kim, you will understand it the first time, under her wing, sometimes the most intense learning you’ll have is the best experience. ( thank you Kim)

I’m truly going to miss Kim, once my Supervisor, then into a good friendship, she is an Inspiration to be followed, there was nothing that she couldn’t reach for in her life.

I worked with Kim for 30 years and it was an honor to do so, but more importantly, she and I were friends. I am so thankful that I was lucky enough to know her and the world was a much better place with Kim in it!
Love & Sincerity,
Louise Lee
