In lieu of flowers

Please consider a contribution to KCP Fairway Futures Foundation.

Background

Thank you so much for everyone's support during this difficult time. In the month since my brother's passing, the amount of friends, collegues, and clients that have reached out to our family has been In lieu of flowers, we would d appreciate if you could donate to the Kevin Christopher Pokorski (KCP) Fairway Futures Foundation. The donations made to this foundation will be used to organize annual golf tournaments, where golfers of all ages and skill level, will be able to participate in several types of clinics. Kevin was blessed with so much talent, and as much as he loved to play golf, his real passion was sharing his love for the game by teaching the game. The best way to honor Kevin and keep his legacy alive is to incorporate teaching in as many aspects of the foundation. We will need the help of Kevin's friends, colleagues, and clients that he worked with over the last 20+ years from upstate New York to South Florida. We have a lot of work to do so that our first tournament will be successful. By partnering with the local golf courses and golf clubs that my brother worked at over the years, as well as his friends and colleagues, we hope to be ready to host the first tournament this May (2024). Through the tournaments and clinics, we are looking forward to building long lasting relationships with several local, "up and coming" golfers and to help them evolve both on the course as well as off.
The funds raised will be awarded to graduating High School Seniors who have in the form of a scholarship for college or if the graduate will not be going onto college, they will have the option to use the funds as a “sponsorship” to help cover tournament entry fees, lessons, travel expenses, etc. The criteria for awarding the scholarships as well as the amounts given will be decided once the foundation is completely set up and are able to meet with the Athletics Department at Jupiter High School. Thankfully they are willing to help point us in the right direction, which will help the KCP Fairway Futures Foundation make the biggest impact. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated already, and to anyone who will be helping in the future - by donating or through volunteering. Our family is forever grateful for giving us the ability to keep Kevin's memory and legacy alive.

Updates

Update from Dec. 29, 2023

When my younger brother, Kevin, who spent the majority of his life on the Fairways, passed away unexpectedly on September 27, 2023 at the age of 41, I felt compelled to find a way to honor his legacy and keep his memory alive. He dedicated his life to the game, and was a longstanding member of the Professional Goff Association who worked as a Professional Caddy at the Seminole Golf Club, Jupiter Island Club, and Ausable Club in NY. As much as he loved playing, he was the most fulfilled when he was able to share his love and knowledge by teaching and coaching. The younger the student, the more excited he was to encourage their aspirations.
The KCP Fairway Futures Foundation is dedicated to spreading Kevin's love of golf
by providing financial, educational and emotional support to aspiring individuals by providing transformative scholarships, sponsorships, and mentorships to the future generation of golf professionals. Through fundraising efforts such as annual golf tournaments and generous donations, we will be able to support young adults in pursuing their dreams, whether in higher education or to begin their career in the golf industry. Our goal is to promote a passion for the game while financially contributing to the academic or career aspirations of tomorrow's leaders.
