Kevin's obituary
Kevin Alan Kelly, of Shreveport, died unexpectedly on March 31, 2022. He was 54.
Kevin is survived by his parents, Lee and Betty Kelly; brother Timothy Kelly; his wife, Krista Kelly; his Daughters, Jennifer Oller(husband Ben Oller), Rebecca Petch(husband Grant Petch), and Jaclyn Davis(husband Chris Davis); his Step daughters, Katana Shoemake and Kalie Shoemake; grandchildren, Kenley, Braxton, Cayson, Saylor, Brittany and Welsey; and many Uncles, Aunts and Cousins and beloved pups, Knibbles and Little Dude.
Kevin was born in Houston, TX on January 3, 1968. When he was little more than two years old, his parents, Lee and Betty, moved back to Lee's hometown of Shreveport, LA, where Kevin was raised and spent most of his young life. He attended Huntington High School, but obtained his GED early in order to join the Army. After his stint in the Army, Kevin went on to do a variety of work. Being the "jack of all trades" that he was, he could do just about anything he set his mind to; no project too big or too small. If the task was math oriented, even better. He finally found a line of work he was most passionate about though, and that was out on the pipelines. Kevin found great pride in becoming a pipeline coding inspector and enjoyed not only the work, but the places it would take him and the many friends he found in his coworkers along the way. Kevin was a fearless, caring, goofy and passionate man, who could find a friend in just about any room. He is still so loved and will be deeply missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either the Eppes Cemetery or to the Wounded Warrior Project in Kevin's name.
