Kevin's obituary
We mourn the loss of Kevin "Kev" Casey, an extraordinary man with an expansive love for life and those around him, who passed away on April 26, 2026. Born on January 17, 1953, Kevin was a beacon of warmth, cheerfulness, and care throughout his entire life. His passion for making people laugh was one of his greatest accomplishments, and his ability to brighten any room will be greatly missed.
Kevin was welcomed into the world by his loving parents, Flora and James Casey, and his sister, Teresa Casey, who predeceased him. He leaves behind a brother, David Casey, and two nieces, Amanda M. and Crystal M., who cherished their time with him. His Aunt, Gay Sergeant, also survives him, continuing the legacy of love that Kevin exuded throughout his life.
Kevin was a man of many interests and passions. He loved all kinds of food, especially carrot cake, and was known for his fondness for a good Bloody Mary. A devoted fan of Madonna and Lady Gaga, Kevin always encouraged those around him to express themselves through music. He was also an avid television watcher, citing Seinfeld and Everybody Loves Raymond as his favorite shows. Never one to resist a good film, Kevin spoke passionately about his love for The Little Mermaid.
His love for travel saw him embarking on several cruises, his favorite vacation spots, and he deeply enjoyed going out to eat with friends. His zest for life was evident in all his recreational activities and became a defining feature of the wonderful man he was. Among the many causes close to his heart was the ASPCA, reflecting his gentle, caring nature.
Kevin was a man whose vivacious spirit warmed those around him. His relentless cheerfulness and caring nature brightened our lives, and his departure leaves behind a void that will be hard to fill. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will continue to inspire us to live lives full of laughter, love, and care.
