Kevin's obituary

Kevin Russell Blackburn Jr., lived in McDonough, Georgia, embarked on his grandest adventure yet on May 22, 2024. Born on March 11, 1977, in the sunny Winter Haven, Florida, Kevin's 47 years on this Earth were fueled by laughter, love, and the occasional monkey wrench.

For over 15 years, Kevin was the wizard of turning wrenches for BHS, but 30 years in the corrugated industry, His turning wrenches and turning heads with his mechanical mastery. He wasn't just a Lead Mechanic; he was a Lead Magician, making problems disappear as if by magic. His colleagues knew that if Kevin was on the case, the "Gator" would be purring like a kitten in no time.

At home, Kevin was the undisputed champion of dad jokes, a title he wore like a badge of honor. He was a father, a bonus dad, and a husband with a heart so big, it's a wonder it would fit in his chest. His family was his heart, and he never missed a chance to rev up the fun, whether it was at the dinner table or during a backyard chicken chase with his menagerie of clucking companions, loyal pups, and that one aloof cat who secretly adored him.

Kevin's approach to life was like his approach to his "Gator" repair: If something's not working, find a way to fix it with a smile (and maybe a little duct tape). He was the kind of guy who'd lend you a hand, a tool, or an ear, often with a wisecrack that made the task at hand feel like a piece of cake.

Preceded in death by his father Dwight Rusty Blackburn, and his grandparents Ruby Blackburn and Alfred Blackburn

Left to cherish his memory's: his wife of 24 years Carol Beasley-Blackburn, Son Austin Blackburn & Daughter Shelby Beasley, Best friend Christopher Marshand, Mother Lola Holmberg (Bob), Sisters Selena Willis (Chris), Leana Montoya (Elies), Uncles & Aunts, Ruben Blackburn (Angela), Ray Blackburn, Louie Blackburn (Sue), Chris Blackburn (Sheila), Jay Blackburn (Janet), Elmer Blackburn (Terry), Gary Blackburn (Linda) Ricky Blackburn (Lisa) Sissy Vaughn (George) along with many other friend and loved ones.

As we say our see-you-laters to the man who never met anything he could not fix—or a challenge—he couldn't conquer, let's remember Kevin as he'd want us to: with a grin on our faces, a pickle in one hand and a Monster in the other. His legacy is not just in the machine the "Gator" he brought back to life, but in the joy, laughter, kids and wife he has left behind. Rev on, Kevin. Rev on.I’m
