Kevin's obituary

It is with profound sorrow that we mourn the passing of Kevin Smith, a loving son, devoted father, caring brother, and a true friend, who left us too soon on August 24, 2020. Born on August 2, 1987, Kevin lived a life committed to his family, cherished friends, and his beloved daughter.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Connie Mccarty, his father, John Smith, and was a proud parent to his daughter, McKenna Smith. He leaves behind two brothers, John Smith jr., and Randy Smith, and his sister, Jessica Hill and youngest sister , Airika Dickerson, nieces and Nephews, Jacob, John, Noah, Ethan, Ryder, Adilina, Christian, Jaxson, Kyndall and Aiden His presence will be greatly missed within his family.

A man of simple joys, Kevin was a lover of a good Pork roast, pizza, and tacos, with a Dr. Pepper to wash it all down. A fan of Eminem, rap, and country music, he was often found humming his favourite tunes. His passion for History, news, and crime tv shows never waned. He had a love for Comedy and history movies, and followed the Green Bay and Washington Redskins fervently.

Kevin treasured playing football, and found peace in being outdoors, often partaking in outdoor work exercises. His happy place was Virginia Beach, where he often vacationed. A great lover of animals, Kevin often advocated for their rights. His favourite colours, red and black, reflected his vibrant personality.

Known for his loving, caring, family oriented nature, Kevin's heart was abundant with kindness and generosity. He had a big heart and would always lend a helping hand to anybody in need. The best lessons he imparted were forgiveness and unconditional love. From conquering addiction to becoming a loving daddy, Kevin celebrated life's big and small victories with equal grace and humility.

His legacy of kindness, generosity, and love continues to live in the hearts of those he touched. In lieu of flowers, funds are being raised for "Help with his daughter" at https://everloved.com/life-of…. He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
