Kerry's obituary

Kerry (stevenson) Pettit passed away on 1/4/24 due to complications from type 1 diabetes. She was 64 years old. Kerry graduated from Rincon high school in 1977 in Tucson AZ. She spent her young adult life in banking, then later became a homemaker, and a stay at home wife/ mom to her husband and 3 children. Upon returning to the workforce she was an administrative assistant in adult probation at superior Court in Pima County. She was active in her children's sports, and other extra curricular activities. She was also active in their curriculum  homeschooling her middle child, and being a baseball/softball mom for all of her children. In the latter part of her life she was a doting grandmother. Even though Kerry was in poor health, very few realized the extent of her illness. Her joy of life, and love for those closest to her is what kept her pushing and struggling to stay alive. She enjoyed camping, spending time with family, friends, and vacationing in Mexico at her family's place in San Carlos. Kerry was predeceased by her father Robert stevenson in 1994,as well as her stepfather AL Montoya, and mother Barbara Huntley Montoya, just recently in 2023, and many other Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She is survived by her son Zach, daughters Shauna, and Michelle, surrogate daughter Alyssa, grand daughters mcalah, Vera, and Ava, and her brother Robert (Bob)stevenson as well as many friends. The family invites you to join them in celebration of Kerry's life at the historic Y courtyard 300 university Blvd Tucson, AZ 85705 on Saturday Feb 3, 2024 from 2pm-4 pm.
