Thinking of you Tanner and Jess. Loved your dad. Had fun shopping with him. I know you must miss him so much. Love you both and thinking of you especially today on your dad's birthday.

Kent was a dear man, friend & a client @ my shop combine. It was always a joy to see him. He was so fun & clever. I must mention his great taste & style. I so miss him coming into the shop & walking around with him. I think of him often & miss his big hearted laughter.
Kent and I worked together at Musicland. We kept in touch. He was warm, smart, over-the-top creative, funny, fun, kind. How he loved his family, friends, and life. Too soon. Too sad. May his memory be blessed.

I’m very sorry to hear of Kent’s passing. My father spoke fondly of his cousin. Prayers for peace during this difficult time to his family and friends. Happy Birthday in heaven❤️

Kent was an amazing man and blessed to call him a friend. His smile was magic and he always made you feel special. Creative talent beyond measure.. such a loss. Sending love and prayers.

Kent was an amazingly talented man, with a big heart, smile and laugh. I remember meeting him at Storeworks and our paths continued to cross on projects he did for Marshall Field’s. Then when I moved up here with my partner Shelby he was one of the first people to welcome us and show us around. He and Shelby would attend some events together and run into each other out and about. I loved to go to dinner with him and brainstorm on projects we both were working on and together. My favorite time with Kent was a project he worked on with me in  NYC and we had some down time and walked together from 34th to Chelsea market. We laughed and entertained each other along the way that we never realized we had been walking and talking for 4 hours. He was the best person to hang out with so warm, caring and always had great stories. He will be deeply missed by so many. To Jess and Tanner our hearts go out to you and your family as I know this is a difficult time. Please reach out if you need anything.

Tanner & Jess, When we were at Dayton's, your father & I used to meet for breakfast before work. You both were always part of the conversation - it was obvious how much he loved and took pride in you. Kent was a great talent and made many significant contributions to advertising and design. But his ever-present smile was brightest when he spoke of his family, and I'll always remember him for that, his greatest achievement.
Kent treated our son like one of his own.  Kent seemed always happy, enjoying life and having fun.   We are so sad that Jessica lost her father at such a young age and know she and our son, Zach,  will greatly miss him.
How do you sum up years of memories in one small box.I never worked with Kent and wasn't part of his glittering circle of friends.  I never actually understood how we became friends,  but we did. I considered Kent my brother, he was my family and I loved him with all my heart. He was friend, confidant, cohort, and support, in fact Kent helped me thru some of the most difficult times in my life. To say I will miss him is truly an understatement. Words cannot express my sympathies for your loss, I just hope you know just how deeply you were all Cherished and loved and still are.

Kent was so talented and kind…
Kent was so talented and kind. I had the pleasure of working him with the display windows on The Dayton's Project. It was so special to work in the windows again and Kent had great vision. I can't believe he is gone and I wish I had known him longer. My heart breaks for his family and friends 💔
Kent and I served together on the Advisory Board of the Goldstein Museum of Design. He held design stature, creative community notoriety, and visionary leadership in that group! Not to mention, he was the kindest and most welcoming of individuals. To top it off, Kent and I shared Iowa State University as our alma mater, though he entered college as I was leaving. Kent's twinkly eyes and perpetual smile blended perfectly with his sparkling personality!
My condolences to Kent's family. I first met Kent when served on the University of Minnesota’s Goldstein Museum of Design board. Kent was an inspiration and one of the kindest souls I’ve met. May his memory be a blessing.
I worked with Kent at Dayton's Advertising in the 80's. Such a gentle soul and overall nice human being to be around. Sad to hear of his sudden passing. He left a thumbprint on Minneapolis for sure!
I met Kent when my sister married his cousin. We were married 3 years later. Even though we have been apart for over 28 years we share the bond of our 2 amazing children, Tanner and Jessica.
