Kenneth Shoulders passed away late Saturday, April 25th, just shy of his 94th birthday. Kenny was born in Illinois on April 28, 1926. When he was a teenager, he met the love of his life Jewel and married her in 1944. Over the years, they were blessed with one son George Cook and two daughters and Sandy Zamora and Judy Berry. Kenny was well known in the Kern River Valley for his skills as an electrician. Those close to him loved to hear him play one of his many guitars while recounting a tale of hanging out with some Bakersfield music legends. He loved camping, fishing, and flying his bright yellow plane on sunny days. Kenny was preceded in death by parents, Uncle Jack, Aunt Pearl, his wife of 75 years Jewel, and son George Cook. Kenny is survived by his brother Richard Shoulders and his wife Roxie, daughter Sandy Zamora and her husband Dick, daughter Judy Berry and her husband Linn, and daughter-n-law Pam Cook as well as four grandchildren Candace Fisher, Drew Berry and his wife Toni, Tammy Zamora, and Christina Lindstrom and her husband Jason, six great-grandchildren Tyler Fisher, Sal Judkins, Robbie Fisher, Luke Berry, Shayne Fisher, and Hailey Lindstrom, and three great-great-grandchildren Gracie, Liam, and Graham Fisher.
