Kenneth's obituary
Ken was born on January 19, 1952 in Staten Island, NY to Walter and Josephine (Blaine) Wojehowski. At four years old he moved to his forever hometown, Cornwall, NY. On October 14, 1972 he married the love of his life, Kathleen (Herrick) Wojehowski. They raised two wonderful children together, Kenneth Jr and Amy who Ken was profoundly proud of.
At the age of 19, Ken began his career at the United States Mint at West Point where he continued to work until his retirement 39 years later. Ken loved his family, his friends, his community, wrestling, and his church. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand, mentor young adults, or share a bible verse or two. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit.
He is survived by his wife Kathy, his son Ken Wojehowski Jr and his wife Kim, and daughter Amy (Wojehowski) Fischer and her husband Dennis. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren Micah, Luke, Cailey, Dennis and Jake and siblings Margaret, Richard, Steven, Theresa, Robert, Danton, Beth and Michael along with many nieces and nephews.
Ken was predeceased by his parents Walter and Josephine, siblings Joanne, Walter, Thomas, Gary, Jerome and Susie, and his beloved wrestling coach, Frank Tschan.
A service will be held honoring Ken on Saturday, January 8th at 12:00pm at Grace Community Church, Washingtonville Campus (2839 Route 94, Washingtonville, NY). In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
