Kenneth's obituary

Kenneth R. Tate of Arden Hills, MN, passed away peacefully at home and entered eternal life on November 4, 2020. Celebration of Life Service will be on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 11:00 am with a visitation from 10:00-11:00 am at Elmwood Church in St. Anthony Village, MN. Ken was born on February 9, 1931, in Ottawa, MN to Vernon and Clara (Thompson) Tate. He graduated from Blue Earth Public School in 1949, and entered the U.S. Air Force in 1951, serving until 1959. On October 18, 1959, he married Paula Larson and together they raised four children. He worked for Boise Cascade/Willamette Industries for three decades, retiring in 1996. After retirement he volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, Hospice of the Twin Cities and The Salvation Army for almost twenty years. He is survived by his wife Paula; children Rae (Robert) Fimon, Joy (Laurence) Homan, Robert (Joy) Tate; brother William (Patricia) Tate; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Flora, Olive & Ruth; brothers Harris, Robert, Wesley, Walton & Leland; son Thomas; and grandson Sawyer. Memorials may be given to Elmwood Church or Habitat for Humanity.
