Kenneth's obituary

Kenneth R. St. Lawrence, 71, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away on September5, 2021 after a tough battle with cancer. Ken was born on April 11, 1950 to Ralph and Ilene St. Lawrence in Detroit, Michigan. After graduating from Lowrey High School in 1968, he married his high school sweetheart, Joyce LeMond on January 25, 1969. They went on to have  two children, Shelly and Kenny.


Ken was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of Shelly, Kenny, and Joyce and always tried his best to support them.


Ken was also a passionate nascar fan and could often be found watching the races when he wasn’t at home.


Anyone who knew Ken knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Ken was predeceased by His father Ralph St. Lawrence, mother Ilene St. Lawrence, brother Eugene St. Lawrence, sister Gayle St. Lawrence, grandfather Eugene McAtee, grandmother Lilly McAtee . He is survived by his spouse Joyce St. Lawrence, two children Michelle Schmidt and Kenneth R. St. Lawrence Jr., four grandsons Russell M Schmidt Jr, Jared A. St. Lawrence, Michael A. Schmidt, Aulden R. St. Lawrence and his brother Randy St. Lawrence and sister Renee Tri. There will be a celebration of life on October 2, 2021 at 7210 221st Street E, Bradenton, FL 34211.
